Google Earth -  This free download provides an amazing collection of free satellite maps and it can be good for finding out what a property looks like from outerspace.  Seriously, you can zoom in quite close.     * Make sure you check out the Grand Canyon.

Whereis -  Put in an address and find a map of the area you are looking for.

Property Data and Research

PRD nationwide- You can become a member for free and they will send you very useful property market reports. The reports are very accurate and one report helped me get into the Townville property market just before the recent boom.

Residex - Very well respected property research company that sell various reports such as Top 100 predicted growth areas and best rental yields.  If you are starting out and trying to work out where to invest this is a report that you must get.

RP Data -  RP Data provides suburb profiles, previous property sale prices and valuation estimates that can be purchased and downloaded.  This is great for checking comparison sales so that you don't offer above current market price.

Australian Bureau of Statisitcs - Australian Government site that provides free statistics on houses prices, population etc.

Quantity Surveyors

Deppro -  Get a depreciation schedule done and you will probably get thousands of dollars more back in you tax return each year.  These guys seem to be about the best price around and they do a good job.

Law

Online legal services  -  This site offers pre-wriiten legal documents that can be customised and purchased.
