What should I do first ?
You should come up with a Goal. Do you want to get one property or build a multi-property portfolio? Do you want cashflow or capital growth ? Do you want to retire in 10 years time or buy an investment for your children? Once you have worked this out, you can start to search for the right strategy to help you meet your goal.
Do I need a deposit ?
Not all lenders require a deposit. It is possible to use existing equity in a home that you already own or partly own. The loan market is becoming increasingly competitive and some lenders do not require equity or a deposit. You will just need to prove that you have a steady income.
What if I can't get a loan ?
Keep trying. Do not give up after being rejected by a lender. There are hundreds of lenders out there with different lending criteria. I reccommend that you find a good mortgage broker and ask them to find a lender to suit your circumstances.
